A One-Line Summary of All the Books I’ve Read so far in 2024

I rekindled my love for reading in 2020 during the chaos of the pandemic. With a lot of time to do nothing, my intrusive thoughts started moving in with me as my new roommate. So, I thought, “Hey, why don’t I start reading again?”
My goal for that year was 50 books. It may be worth mentioning that I had not read a single book for several years before that, having lost the habit due to adulting and social media.
50 felt like a nice round number and if you are curious to know, yes I did end up reading 50 books that year. From then on, every year, I have continued with the tradition of setting reading challenges for myself.
This year my reading goal is 80 books. For some, that number is a lot; for others, it’s just light reading - based on some of the reading goals I’ve seen this year set by other voracious readers on Goodreads.
It’s May and I’ve finished 30 books so far. Here’s the list and my one-liner summary for each of them.
