ECC Group Sports Day 2018
A core member of the organising team of 5 people, we held the company's Sports Day for over 1,000 employees.
My work: Planning the activities, ensuring proper branding (t-shirts, decor, venue), managing communications internally and externally (press releases, flyers, social media posts, memos, event build-up), and liaising with suppliers for branding and merchandise.
Engineering Contracting Company LLC (ECC), one of the most established and diverse contracting companies in the region, recently hosted its Annual Sports and Fun Day, displaying its commitment to its dedicated and highly qualified employees. ECC Group prides itself on quality and to remain consistent with delivering high-quality projects, the company stresses the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The event took place on the 6th of April from 9 AM until 6 PM.
Maintaining a healthy work-life balance improves the quality of work, enhances work performance, reduction of costs due to lower staff turnover, as well as, employee retention and improves organizational performance overall. A poor work-life balance can lead to a variety of symptoms which can affect employee wellbeing. This ranges from the flu to serious health conditions like strokes and respiratory problems.
Mr Hatem Farah, Chairman of ECC Group commented: “We strategically chose to host a sports-fuelled day, encouraging all our employees and their families to engage in physical activity, as a balanced and healthy work environment is the backbone of a successful and happy company, and leads to motivated and passionate employees. During the event, we witnessed an array of exhilarating sporting events and fun-filled activities. Through this event, we further display our commitment to our employees, and encourage them to take ownership of their wellbeing.”
ECC Group has received recognition for its impeccable performance in delivering and executing state-of-the-art projects. Displaying the same dedication and spirit, the ECC employees enthusiastically outwitted all the challenges and proved to be leaders both on and off the field.
